We thought you might like to meet some of the team and find out a little about them, so we have included our staff photoshoot with a little about us below.

Name: Jo

Experience: 12 years child care

Jo is Nursery Manager. She has 12 years experience within the childcare sector, and is a mother herself. Jo has worked her way up in day nurseries, has worked as a childminder and has been a family support worker with the Health Visitors, advising parents on a number of child development issues.

Name: Katrina

Experience: Child care & Education

Katrina is the Deputy Manager at our Nursery. She is a graduate and holds the Early Years Professional Status. Katrina has years of experience within child care and education from 3 months old to 11 years. Katrina will be working with all rooms to implement the EYFS to an excellent standard, working alongside the Nursery Manager.

Name: Clare

Experience: 12 Years child care

Clare is the Teeny Tigers Room Leader. She holds her level 3 qualification in childcare and has 12 years of experience. Within those 12 years Clare has worked in other day nurseries and has also been a childminder.

Name: Natalie

Experience: Child care & Paediatric first aider

Natalie is the Room Leader for both Jolly Giraffe’s and Cheeky Chimp’s. She holds her NVQ 3 in Childcare and Education and is looking forward to completing her NVQ 4 in Early Years Childcare and Education. She has experience with 3months to 12 years and holds her certificate in paediatric first aid.

Name: Alice

Experience: 2 Years child care

Alice is based in the Jolly Giraffe. She is NVQ level 2 qualified with 2 years experience of working with children aged 3 months -5 years. She has her first aid certificate and is hoping to work towards her level 3 in childcare in the near future.

Name: Joanne

Experience: Child care & Creative development

Joanne is based in our Teeny Tigers. She is NVQ level 3 qualified and has valuable experience working as SENCO. Joanne is a part time member of our team and will bring her knowledge and understanding of creative development to the nursery.

Name: Sarah

Experience: 3 Years child care

Sarah is the Senior Nursery nurse within the Crazy Crocs. She holds her NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education, and has worked within childcare settings for the past 3 years with experience of children aged 6 months to 2 years.

Name: Sara

Experience: Child care & Paediatric first aider

Sara is based within the Crazy Crocs. She is NVQ level 3 qualified and has years of experience working within all childcare settings. Sara also holds her paediatric first aid certificate.

Name: Hayley

Experience: 5 Years child care

Hayley is based in Jolly Giraffes room. She is NVQ level 3 qualified and has 5 years experience. Throughout that time she has worked within nursery settings, with children aged 6 months to 5 years.

Name: Louisa

Experience: Child care & Paediatric first aider

Louisa is a Senior member of our team and currently is a 1-1 carer for a child who has Cerebral Palsy. Louisa is based in our Teeny Tiger room. She has experience of working with children 5 months to 3 years in various day nursery settings, and is a mother herself.

Name: Michelle

Experience: Child care

Michelle is the Pre-School Room Leader; she is based within the Eager Elephants overseeing the Pretty Parrots. Michelle is a graduate in Early Years Childhood studies and has experience working within all areas of education. Michelle has a special interest in physical development and is our behavioural co-ordinator at Canterbury Road Day Nursery.

Name: Ionie

Experience: level 4 Childcare, Learning & Development

Ionie has worked with children for 13 years in day nurseries in the Manchester area. She has a great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and other strategies for children’s learning.

Name: Charlotte

Experience: level 2 NVQ

Charlotte is a 1-1 carer for a child who attends nursery with Cerebral Palsy. Charlotte is based in our Jolly Giraffe room. She has her NVQ in childcare at level 2 and is just finishing her level 3 at present. Charlotte has experience in day nursery settings with a range of different aged children.

Name: Jenny

Experience: NVQ 3 Childcare & Education

Jenny works in our Cheeky Chimp room with our 2-3 year old children. Jenny has her NVQ 3 in Childcare & Education. She also has experience of being a SENCO and keeping up to date with her first aid training. Jenny has worked in a variety of day nursery settings and has excellent understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Name: Jackie

Experience: NVQ level 2 in Childcare & Education

Jackie has her NVQ level 2 in Childcare & Education. She is a mother herself, and is based in our Teeny Tiger room with the babies aged 3 months- 1 year old. She has experience in day nursery settings.

Name: Chantelle

Experience: Diploma in Childcare & Education

Chantelle is based in our Hippo room with the 18 months to 2 years children. Chantelle went to college and completed her Diploma in Childcare & Education at level 3 standard. Chantelle has experience in working in day nursery settings and is currently looking forward to doing a foundation course in sign-a-long.

Name: Sophie

Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education

Sophie is a member of Teeny Tiger Team and works with children from 3 months to 1 years old. Sophie is qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education. Sophie has attended a variety of courses including sign-a-long and is a qualified First Aider here at nursery. Sophie also has a son of 2 years who attends the nursery.

Name: Diana

Experience: NNEB qualification

Diana is a member of our Hungry Hippo room with children from 18 months to 2 years. Diana is a qualified Nursery Nurse with an NNEB qualification. Diana is a mother herself of 2 children and has worked in the childcare profession for 12 years.

Name: Sarah

Experience: 7 years experience in the catering industry

Sarah is our experienced Chef here at the nursery. She has 7 years experience in the catering industry in a variety of settings. Sarah has an NVQ in Food Processing and her basic food hygiene qualifications. Sarah works alongside the Manager and parents to ensure all dietary needs are met to a high standard. Sarah has an ‘Open Door’ policy with our parents if they wish to ask any advice on dietary needs.
