We are a member of the National Day Nurseries Association, and feel it is vital to keep up to date with the current best practice, to offer the best to you and your child.

We want our nursery to be the best, so attracting and retaining our staff is crucial. Good staff are what makes the nursery experience so valuable. We intend to offer our staff the best training opportunities, to support and build on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum(EYFS).

To ensure a high standard of care, we recognise the importance for our staff to further their professional development. Currently our Room Leaders and Senior Nursery Nurses are studying for their NVQ Level 4 in Child Care & Learning. Our aim is to encourage staff to reach a high level of education, ensuring there is at least one member of staff qualified to a NVQ Level 4 in each room.

Jo, the Nursery Manager is currently completing a Higher Professional Diploma in Early Years, and also a S.E.N and Inclusion course with Chantelle. We are a member of the National Day Nurseries Association, and feel it is vital to keep up to date with the current best practice, to offer the best to you and your child.

We thought you might like to meet some of the team and find out a little about them, so we have included our staff photoshoot with a little about us below.

Name: Jo

Experience: 16 years child care/ Nursery Manager

Jo is Nursery Manager. She has 16 years experience within the childcare sector, and is a mother herself. Jo has worked her way up in day nurseries, has worked as a childminder and has been a family support worker with the Health Visitors, advising parents on a number of child development issues. Jo has also recently completed a S.E.N and Inclusion course with Edge Hill University and a Higher Professional Diploma in Early Years starting her Degree in Early Years with Bolton University this year.

Name: Clare

Experience: 12 Years child care

Clare is the Teeny Tigers Room Leader she is the nursery named SENCO she is working towards her level 4 childcare and has worked in childcare for 16 years. Within those 16 years Clare has worked in other day nurseries and has also been a childminder.

Name: Natalie

Experience: Child care & Paediatric first aider/ Deputy Nursery Manager

Natalie is the Room Leader for both Jolly Giraffe’s and Cheeky Chimp’s. She holds her NVQ 3 in Childcare and Education and is looking forward to completing her NVQ 4 in Early Years Childcare and Education. She has experience with 3months to 12 years and holds her certificate in paediatric first aid.

Name: Alice

Experience: Level 4 child care

Alice is based in the Cheeky Chimps. She is NVQ level 3 qualified with experience of working with children aged 2-3 year olds. She has her first aid certificate and is hoping to work towards her level 4 in childcare in the near future.

Name: Joanne

Experience: Child care & Creative development

Joanne is based in our Teeny Tigers. She is NVQ level 3 qualified and has valuable experience working as SENCO. Joanne is a part time member of our team and will bring her knowledge and understanding of creative development to the nursery.

Name: Sarah

Experience: Level 3 child care

Sarah is the Senior Nursery nurse within the Cheeky Chimps. She holds her NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education, and has worked within childcare settings for the past 3 years with experience of children aged 6 months to 2 years.

Name: Sara

Experience: Level 3 Child care & Paediatric first aider

Sara is based within the pre-school pretty Parrots room. She is NVQ level 3 qualified and has years of experience working within all childcare settings. Sara also holds her paediatric first aid certificate.

Name: Louisa

Experience: Child care & Paediatric first aider

Louisa is a Senior member of our team and currently is a 1-1 carer for a child who has Cerebral Palsy. Louisa is based in our Teeny Tiger room. She has experience of working with children 5 months to 3 years in various day nursery settings, and is a mother herself.

Name: Ionie

Experience: level 4 Childcare, Learning & Development

Ionie has worked with children for 13 years in day nurseries in the Manchester area. She has a great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and other strategies for children’s learning. She is based in the Eager Elephant Room pre-school room.

Experience: level 3 NVQ

Charlotte is a 1-1 carer for a child who attends nursery with Cerebral Palsy. Charlotte is based in our Jolly Giraffe room. She has her NVQ in childcare at level 3 and has experience in day nursery settings with a range of different aged children.

Experience: NVQ level 3 in Childcare & Education

Jackie has her NVQ level 3 in Childcare & Education. She has experience in day nursery settings and is based in the Hungry Hippos room..

Name: Sophie

Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education

Sophie is a member of Teeny Tiger Team and works with children from 3 months to 1 years old. Sophie is qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education. Sophie has attended a variety of courses including sign-a-long and is a qualified First Aider here at nursery.

Name: Diana

Experience: NNEB qualification

Diana is a member of our Hungry Hippo room with children from 18 months to 2 years. Diana is a qualified Nursery Nurse with an NNEB qualification. Diana is a mother herself of 2 children and has worked in the childcare profession for 12 years.

Name: Sarah

Experience: 7 years experience in the catering industry

Sarah is our experienced Chef here at the nursery. She has 7 years experience in the catering industry in a variety of settings. Sarah has an NVQ in Food Processing and her basic food hygiene qualifications. Sarah works alongside the Manager and parents to ensure all dietary needs are met to a high standard. Sarah has an ‘Open Door’ policy with our parents if they wish to ask any advice on dietary needs.

Experience: Level 3 qualification in Childcare

Loren is based in our Jolly Giraffe room with the 2-3 year olds. She has a level 3 qualification in Childcare and has experience with a range of ages of children 0-5 years.

Name: Jo

Experience: S.E.N and Inclusion Edge Hill University

Jo works with our Pretty Parrot room as the leader of the pre schoolers aged 3-5 years. Jo has a range of experience and has currently completed a S.E.N and Inclusion course with Edge Hill University..

Name: Hollie

Experience: Level 3 Childcare

Hollie joined us in June this year, after doing some bank work with us. She is based in our Hungry Hippo room with our 18-24 month children, and loves to be creative! Hollie is qualified to level 3 in childcare.

Name: Cath

Experience: Level 3 Childcare

Cath joined us this year and is a great member of the team. She is our senior lead in the Crazy Croc room, with our 12-18 month children. Cath has a lot of experience in childcare and was a childminder for a number of years, she too is Level 3 qualified.

Name: Savannah

Experience: Apprentice

Savannah is a great member of our team. She is currently doing an Apprenticseship with us here at nursery, and is gaining experience with all ages of children here at nursery.

Name: Sharon

Experience: Level 3 Childcare

Sharon is also one of our lunchtime assistants here at nursery with a wide range of experience in childcare. Sharon has a level 3 qualification in chidcare and she too is a mother herself. She works with all ages of children throughout the nursery.
